20/20 Vision
Firstly with all the crazy stuff going on in our country right now, I keep seeing this year 2020, with the help of modern technology, as a time to see clearly many things good and bad that have been going on for centuries. Reading Silvia Hartmann yesterday she pointed out that we are all “human beings” on this planet earth. To me that means as human beings we all have certain basic needs and are under the same God no matter what we call him or her. If we focus on the differences, we can convince ourselves that some people are other than us, and therefor less human and not as worthy so we can kill them and take their stuff. Maybe even enslave them.
I recall Sunday School
Now I remember what I learned in Sunday school about love and loving others. The minister once gave a sermon about the word love verses like. I do not have to like everybody. I don’t even think that’s possible but love is the energy of life. Therefore we cannot truly be happy if we are full of fear, anger and hatred. They are very low energy states where we make terrible decisions.
Secondly if we focus on the fact that we are all human beings with the same basic human reactions, wants and needs we can respect and even enjoy our differences. I was a young mother during The Vietnam War and I remember how I felt when I heard the song about the other mother’s son. In fact it still makes me cry. However, where we are now makes me hopeful as we see all those “human beings” peacefully marching for change and they far outnumber those that are fueled by anger and hatred.

In Conclusion
Finally the conundrum now is those angry hate filled people can only be changed with love. That can be a challenge but I believe we start with ourselves and raise our own energy levels. When our energy is high, inspiration and love flows and magic happens. Therefore the side effect of all this is that we become happy “human beings”, happiness is really contagious and hatred is no match for love. It’s not easy and it could take awhile but it’s a start.
